Tafseer Ahsan ul Bayan Urdu (Latest Edition)

Tafseer Ahsan ul Bayan (تفسیر احسن البیان) is one of the most widely read Urdu tafseers of the Quran. It pairs the Urdu translation of Maulana Muhammad Junagarhi with concise notes by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, written, as the cover says, "in the light of authentic ahadith", and revised (nazar-e-sani) by Maulana Safiur Rahman Mubarakpuri. This is Darussalam's latest edition: one hardcover volume of 1,472 pages in the 17x24 cm size, printed in two colours.

What makes Ahsan ul Bayan different

The notes explain what a reader actually needs in order to understand each verse: the background of revelation where it matters, the meaning of difficult words, the rulings that come out of the verse, and the authentic hadith that explain it. Long debates and weak narrations are left out, which keeps the whole Quran with its tafseer in a single volume that can be read from cover to cover.

Why readers choose this tafseer

• Arabic text, Urdu translation and tafseer notes on the same page.
• Notes based on the Quran, the authentic Sunnah and the understanding of the Salaf.
• Clear and simple Urdu, suitable for home reading, a weekly dars or madrasah study.
• Revised by Safiur Rahman Mubarakpuri, the author of Ar Raheeq Al Makhtum.
