Surah Fatiha is the first and the most comprehensive surah in terms of subjects of the Holy Quran, which is the case, introduction and summary of the entire Holy Quran. Several commentaries of this surah have been published separately in Arabic and Urdu. Commentary on Surah Al-Fatihah is a detailed commentary on this surah by the Qur`an commentator Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf. After the general acceptance of Hafiz Sahib`s comprehensive and concise commentary `Ahsan Al Bayan`, the close associates of Hafiz Sahib felt that he should also write a detailed commentary of the Holy Qur`an, so Hafiz Sahib started the Tafsir of Surah Al-Baqara after Surah Fatiha. It was that this work was stopped due to other scholarly engagements. May Allah grant Hafiz Sahib the ability and reason to complete it. are His reasoning is very interesting. This commentary is a new commentary, separate from the commentary of Surat al-Fatihah, which is included in the commentary `Ahsan al-Bayan`.
